Message From The Principal

The summer term always seems to come around so quickly and here we are again with another Year 11 cohort, and our first Year 13 cohort, having just started their public exams. Just after Easter the Year 11s had their language oral exams and the 10 hour art exam and they are now in full flow with their written exams.

Our Year 12 and 13 T Level students have worked hard on their coursework elements: the Employer Set Project (ESP) and the Occupational Speciality Project (OSP). The A Level students have started their written exams and our Pre-Apprenticeship students have completed their work experience coursework tasks.

It is an intense period and I am grateful to the staff for the way they prepare the young people so well. Our teachers always go above and beyond with targeted intervention sessions to ensure that pupils perform to the best of their ability. However, there are many more staff involved in the process, from the pastoral teams who ensure that everyone has the support they need to the amazing examination staff, LSAs, catering and site staff who all play a key role in making the whole process run smoothly. I am very grateful to the staff who give up many hours before and after school as well as at weekends and in the holidays. I am also grateful to our families, who have spent many hours supporting their children to revise and to help them feel confident about the process.

Please remember that Year 13 results are released on Thursday 14th August, with Year 11 results the following week on Thursday 21st August.
