Drama
Teaching students the value of drama as an art form with intellectual discipline. It is equally important to promote the social skills drama allows students to encompass which are transferable skills for life and across their educational careers.
The Drama curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 develops confident, articulate and creative young people through the study of key dramatic texts, performance and rehearsal processes. Pupils build strong literacy, analytical and evaluative skills through practical exploration and critical reflection. Live theatre experiences, professional partnerships and theatre trips enrich learning, linking classroom practice to the wider industry and supporting progression beyond school.
