Train with us
Saracens High School is in partnership with The Watford Partnership for Teacher Training and the University of Hertfordshire to develop new members of the profession.
If you are interested in training to be a teacher with us please visit The Watford Partnership website to see current vacancies.
The Watford Partnership for Teacher Training, click here for details, are inviting applications for the School Direct teacher training programme starting in September 2024. Applications are made through Apply for teacher training (placements for all schools are listed under Parmiter’s School).
Salaried and unsalaried placements will be available at Parmiter’s School as well as other secondary and primary schools in the alliance.
Places are offered in a range of subjects including:
Art & Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama, English, Economics, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Physical Education, Physics and Religious Studies.
Primary General placements (salaried and unsalaried) are available in primary schools and special schools.
We work in partnership with The University of Hertfordshire, a leading regional provider of Initial Teacher Education and accredited with the Teaching Excellence Framework Gold Award. Click here for further information.
We encourage prospective trainees to submit an early application/expression of interest as national recruitment quotas apply to some subjects, and also to allow enough time to organise lesson observations prior to application. Applications will close in June 2024, (however recruitment for some subjects may close before then).
Please contact the Recruitment & HR Officer with queries and to help organise classroom experience which may be gained at a number of schools across the WPfTT: admin@thewatfordpartnership.co.uk or 01923 671424.
