Food Prep
It has been a busy half term in Food Prep!
Year 7 has settled in nicely with practicals focused on the Eatwell Guide and an introduction to knife skills. They kickstarted the year with zingy fruit smoothies and creamy coleslaw.
Higher up the school, Year 9 has been focused on food hygiene and kitchen safety. They looked at yeast as a raising agent and made fresh bread rolls to serve with sweet potato and carrot soup (the school smelt incredible!)
In celebration of Black History Month, all year groups learnt how to make Nigerian puff puff and/or meat pies.
All round, it has been a half term of tummy smiles!
