What is Pupil Leadership at Saracens High?
By Mahnoor A, Year 11
The Pupil Leadership Team is all about giving pupils a voice and allowing us to make a positive difference within our school community. As part of the team, we work together to share ideas, represent our fellow pupils and find ways to improve school life for everyone. One of our aims is to organise events and activities that bring pupils together, encourage participation and create a more enjoyable and inclusive school environment. This can include planning fundraising events and other activities that allow pupils to get involved, support good causes and build a stronger sense of community.
Being part of the Pupil Leadership Team also means taking responsibility, listening to other people’s opinions and working collaboratively to turn ideas into reality. We aim to make sure that pupils feel heard and understood, while encouraging values such as Hard work, Humility, Honesty and Discipline. The team gives us the opportunity to develop our leadership and communication skills and build confidence. Ultimately, our goal is to make school a more positive and welcoming place where everyone feels included and has the opportunity to contribute to our local community.
