Message From The Principal

It has been a wonderful start to the new year with our Year 7s receiving their House ties from four members of the Saracens men’s and women’s rugby teams. We also welcomed our largest Year 12 cohort to date, with nearly 150 students joining the sixth form.

This follows the good news of the Year 13 destinations, with 96% of students going to university or securing a degree apprenticeship, including 24% going to Russell Group universities. We were especially pleased to have 87% of our Free School Meal students going to university, including 19% to Russell Group unis, which is four times the national average. Equally, we were delighted to achieve a Progress Score of 0.94 for our Pupil Premium children in Year 11, which means they achieved a full grade better than the national average in each of their qualifications and one and a half grades more than the national average for that demographic. This is extremely rare for a school with 60% pupil premium children.

While excellent outcomes are very nice, and open doors for young people, it is who they are that is most important and their connection with Saracens High School. We are proud of those who are moving on and hope that they become active members of the alumni, supporting the new members of the Saracens family to follow in their footsteps.
