Maths Competitions

We have run UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Maths challenges at Saracens High School for a number of years and many of our pupils have enjoyed great success.

Each year, we have entered approximately 140 pupils in the Junior and Intermediate Challenges with 40+ mathematicians going on to achieve an award. This means that they scored in the top 50% nationally.

For the past 2 years, we have entered all A Level Maths students and over 50% of them have achieved an award. Additionally, we have had at least one pupil invited to the follow up challenge each time (Junior, Intermediate, and Senior) based on their incredible success in the UKMT Maths Challenges.

We are looking to build on these incredible outcomes this year! Please take a note of this year’s dates:

Girls in Years 11, 12, and 13 will receive an invitation through Google Forms via their school email and they will need to respond to be entered.

All Year 12 and 13 A Level Maths pupils will be entered for the Senior Maths Challenge.

Select classes/pupils will be entered for the Intermediate and Junior challenges. Pupils should keep an eye out for more information as those dates approach. They are encouraged to reach out to Mrs Gustafson d.gustafson@saracenshigh.org if they have any questions.
