Kelly Brown
What a privilege it was to have Kelly Brown visit us in the final week of term.
The Saracens and Scotland rugby legend spoke to our pupils about his stammer and how he has come to ‘accept and adapt.’ This was particularly appropriate as our enrichment focus in December is Other Abilities.
In the assemblies Kelly delivered inspiring presentations followed by time for questions. He encouraged pupils that they would succeed if they were prepared to fail along the way.
Our 6’4″ guest (his height was the first question after his assemblies!) then spent time with smaller groups, running workshops on overcoming stigmas and building self-esteem.
Visitors of this calibre are one of the benefits of belonging to the wider Saracens family. We are grateful for Saracens’ ongoing support of our school.
