TfL Pioneers

Some of our Year 8 pupils are Transport for London (TfL) Pioneers. They meet six times a year and are facilitated by Michael Kitchen, TfL’s Youth Travel Ambassador.

The pupils recently carried out an investigation into the air quality in our local area. The children divided into three sub teams and used bio-indicators, such as lichen and tar spots on trees, to measure the air quality.

Our Pioneers are keen to promote sustainable travel and in the new year they will deliver an assembly.
