Geographers Visit Epping Forest
On March 4th, we took 80 pupils from Year 9 on a geography field trip to Epping Forest, visiting the Field Studies Council.
In the forest, the geographers investigated tree height, age, and vegetation cover of ancient and young woodlands, gaining hands-on experience in fieldwork techniques which will help them prepare for their GCSE exam.
Despite the scientific focus, the highlight for many was jumping in muddy puddles with their welly boots, making for a fun and memorable day of learning in the great outdoors.
