Financial Education

We were delighted to welcome representatives from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to Saracens High School to deliver an interactive workshop for our GCSE Business pupils and T Level Business students.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for the young people to develop their financial literacy and gain a deeper understanding of the important role taxation plays within society. The sessions covered:

• The UK tax system and the wider social implications of government taxation

• The work undertaken by HMRC and its vital contribution to public services and society

• The role of tax in employment and how it impacts individuals throughout their working lives

The workshops encouraged thoughtful discussion, enhanced understanding of real-world business and economic concepts, and helped prepare our young adults for future employment and financial decision-making.

A huge thank you to HMRC for delivering such informative and impactful sessions. Experiences like these are invaluable in bringing classroom learning to life and equipping our pupils with the knowledge and skills they need for the future.
