D of E Bronze
We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate our biggest ever Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (D of E) cohort! Last weekend, 40 of our fantastic Year 9 pupils, divided into seven resilient teams, embarked on their bronze assessed expedition.
The challenge saw them navigating the beautiful, rolling hills of the Chilterns, trekking for two full days and camping overnight. They had to be entirely self-sufficient, carrying everything they needed on their backs. Along the way, they conquered a few inevitable blisters, negotiated fields of curious cows, enjoyed a welcome bit of sunshine, and whipped up some very impressive cooked dinners on their camp stoves.
Every single one of our explorers passed their assessment with flying colours. Their teamwork, determination, and positive spirit were a credit to Saracens High School. They are now one huge step closer to officially completing their Bronze D of E Award. Well done, teams!
