D of E … in France

Felicitations to one of our student principals, Holly, for completing her Gold Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) residential in France!

Demonstrating fantastic independence and bravery, Holly travelled solo to Morillon, France, and spent seven days with a group of students she had never met before. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the French Alps, the students worked as chalet hosts and took on the challenge of cooking for large groups.

From navigating international travel alone to learning invaluable life skills – and enjoying a daily chocolat ice cream along the way – our student principal described the adventure as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime experience’ that gave her the gift of lifelong friendships and pushed her far beyond her comfort zone.

We are extremely proud of Holly’s ambition, independence and achievement. Congratulations Holly!
