Collecting For Christmas Charity
Every Christmas pupils in our school collect for different charities, both local and international. This Christmas, Year 7 will be filling shoeboxes with gifts for children who are unlikely to receive any other gifts this year.
Operation Christmas Child is a project that is run by an international Christian charity. Pupils in Year 7 are going to work together to fill at least 10 shoe boxes that we will then cover in wrapping paper and send to children around the world.
Suitable gift items for the boxes include the following (all items must be brand new):
- Small soft toys or dolls
- Small toys such as toy cars
- Stationery items such as pencils, pens, colouring books and stickers
- Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes (no liquid soap or toothpaste)
- Small accessories like hair clips and children’s jewellery
- football and pump
- musical instrument like a mouth organ
Please bring the items to school ready for us to pack the boxes in the first week after the half term break.
