Charity Collections

We’re so impressed with how Saracens High School pupils and their families have supported our various Christmas collections.

Spurred on by the energised Charity Champions, we have collected items for a local food bank and also for Operation Christmas Child.

The food bank donations and shoe boxes have all been delivered, ready for Christmas.

Well done Saracens High School community.

Movie Night

Over 120 pupils from Years 7 and 8 enjoyed our Christmas Movie Night on the final Monday of term.

The event was skillfully organised by the Pupil Leadership Team with special mention going to Freddie in Year 11 and Yusra in Year 12.

The movie-goers enjoyed watching the Christmas classic, Home Alone, while snacking on pizza and popcorn. Comfortable clothing is essential for movie viewing and many of the Saracens Cinema patrons came in pyjamas!

London Air Ambulance

Our T Level Health sixth formers had the opportunity to hear about the vital work of London Air Ambulance when one of their paramedics came to the school.

Students watched a fascinating presentation and had the opportunity to ask questions.

T Level Health prepares students for jobs across the health sector, be that midwifery, nursing, caring or becoming a member of the London Air Ambulance!

Design Future London

Local Village Network have been leading lessons for Year 10 in PSHCE this half term. The culmination of the children’s work was entering the Mayor of London’s Design Future London competition.

On the penultimate week of term, four teams travelled into central London to present their surveys of the local area and their vision for redevelopment.

Our pupils spoke passionately about a range of topics that were important to them such as the need to feel safe and secure in their neighbourhoods, and how any future development should prioritise community, sustainability and inclusivity. Their ideas will now form part of the wider redevelopment plans currently being drawn for a number of areas across London.
