True Crime in PSHCEE

Why teach about carbon monoxide safety in a boring way when you could instead present the important message as a true crime mystery?

We were privileged to welcome a presenter from Bonanza Creative into PSHCEE lessons last week to engage pupils in a ‘who dunnit?’ lesson that taught them the signs and dangers of carbon monoxide in a memorable way.

One of our pupils explains why this approach was such a unique and effective way of teaching the topic:

‘The session was really interesting, engaging, and interactive. I really enjoyed paticipating and figuring out the culprit. It also helped me become more aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide – as I never would have known it could be so fatal – and learn about safety precautions such as a carbon monoxide alarm. Overall, it was a very informative session.’
