Stock Market Showdown
By Prince and Naveyah, Year 10
On Making Memories Day at the end of November, Year 10 were brought to the trading floor for Stock Market Showdown.
We arrived at school in business wear, such as suits, shirts and formal shoes. We were given a run-down of how the day would work and were then put into groups of 7. In our groups we had to assign ourselves to different roles such as: floor trader, who would buy and sell stocks; media analyst, who would read the newspapers; and finance analyst, who would calculate what funds we had.
This activity was fun as well as hard. It was a good life experience.
