Spoken Word Club

The brilliant Ashley Hickson-Lovence, author of Wild East, returned to Saracens High School to run a fantastic workshop for our new afterschool Spoken Word club.

It was an absolute delight to welcome the charismatic author back to our school following the popular sessions he delivered during World Book Day. During his spoken word workshop, Ashley guided pupils in how to weave together words and images to create and perform poetry.

Following this successful start, Spoken Word club will return next year, rolled out to all year groups. It is a privilege to support our pupils as they develop their own unique voices and build confidence through the powerful medium of creative writing.
