Science Museum
For our Making Memories day in April, Year 9 went to The Science Museum in South Kensington.
In the morning the pupils looked around exhibitions, such as those about flight and space. Our favourite was the area of the museum all about ‘Making The Modern World.’
After lunch the children enjoyed watching a film in the museum’s own IMAX cinema. ‘Our Beautiful World’ showed Saracens High School pupils what life is like for astronauts on the space station as well as spectacular scenes in 3D of what our planet looks like from space.
This was a wonderful experience and caused us to reflect on how privileged we are to have London on our doorstep, with so many world class museums and gallerys that are completely free to explore.
