Saracens Season Review
Although Saracens Men were not able to retain the Premiership trophy this year, it has been a successful season for each of the Saracens teams.
Saracens Men reached the playoff semi finals where they were narrowly beaten by Northampton Saints, who went on to win the Premiership for the second time in their history.
Saracens Women brought home some silverware with their impressive Allianz Cup win over Bristol Bears, featuring Saracens High’s Ms Green in her final game for the club.
Unfortunately, that same Bristol squad got the better of Saracens Women in the Premiership playoff semi final.
Both teams had players in the Six Nations championships, with the Red Roses being led to victory by Saracens’ own captain, Marlie Packer.
Saracens Mavericks missed out on a place in the Netball Super League (NSL) playoffs despite some excellent performances. Next season the side will compete as London Mavericks in the relaunched, 8-team NSL.
Highlights of this year were The Showdown game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Headliner for Mavs at Wembley Arena, and Saracens Women adding the Allianz Cup to the trophy cabinet.
We look forward to cheering our teams on again next seaosn! Go Sarries!
