Goodbye Year 13
Last term, our community came together for the Year 13 end of year assembly, and what an unforgettable afternoon it was!
Students, parents, staff and governors all gathered to wave goodbye to a truly remarkable year group. The highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly the trip down memory lane. We looked back at photos tracking our students’ journey through Saracens High School. While it was incredibly moving to see how much they’ve grown, it was also highly entertaining – nothing brings a room together quite like the collective, synchronised cringe of eighteen-year-olds looking at some of their distinctly less-fetching photos from the archives!
Amidst the laughter, there were plenty of emotional moments. Mrs Luscombe delivered a heartfelt poem to our incredible year 13 students, while our sixth form lead took the opportunity to thank our fantastic seminar tutors for expertly steering students through their challenging sixth form journey.
The celebrations continued at the drinks reception, where students had the chance to socialise, celebrate with their families and track down individual members of staff to say their personal goodbyes.
A massive thank you to everyone who attended and made the afternoon so special. To our wonderful Year 13s: thank you for the memories (even the unglamorous ones). We are so incredibly proud of you!
