Cricket World Cup Final

Saracens High School was given the incredible opportunity of being flag bearers at the final of the women’s T20 cricket world cup at Lord’s, the ‘Home of Cricket’. One of our sixth formers has written about the experience.

Given the opportunity to be a flag bearer for the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup Final was a once in a lifetime time moment, with hot weather, buying food and getting ice cream at the end of the day to top it off.

Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way and England lost to Australia (maybe because we held the Australian flag and gave them the luck, who knows!) but all in all it was a great day. Thank You to both Ms Quirke and Ms Mckenzie for all the laughter, memories and obviously the photo taking.
