Autumn Term in the Sixth Form

As the festive season approaches, we take great pride in reflecting on the incredible achievements of our sixth form students and staff this term.

A key highlight was preparing our first student for a Cambridge University interview—a testament to the ambition, hard work, and support that defines our sixth form community. Additionally, all Year 13 students have successfully completed their UCAS applications, with several already receiving impressive university offers. These accomplishments reflect not only the academic rigor of our programmes but also the resilience and drive of our students.

Our focus this term extended beyond academics, as we prioritized the development of essential soft skills such as teamwork and communication. Through engaging belonging activities, we have fostered a strong sense of community among Year 12 and Year 13 students, helping them feel connected to the wider sixth form family. This term also featured our successful open evening, where we showcased the breadth of opportunities available through our T Level and A Level courses.

Our T Level Health, Digital, and Pre-Apprenticeship students gained invaluable hands-on experience during industry placements at organizations like 21K Digital, the Royal Free Hospital, and Quinn London. They have been mastering skills in real-world settings, collaborating with professionals from diverse cultures and age groups. Additionally, guest speakers from Equifax inspired students with insights into budgeting and careers in finance.

This term has been filled with moments of achievement, personal growth, and shared experiences. We are immensely proud of our students and staff and eagerly anticipate the successes the new year will bring.

Escape Rooms

By Ranya and Mya, Year 7

Making Memories was amazing!

We did different escape rooms. I really enjoyed the murder mystery ones.

We had so much fun and loved the teachers’ support. I enjoyed my time and hung out with all of my friends.

I can’t wait to do it again next year. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far. I’m grateful we have this opportunity.

Sixth Form Work Placements

Work placements are now in full swing for many of our sixth formers.

Pre-Apprenticeship students and Year 13 T Level students are spending time with a wide range of local businesses to gain vital employability skills such as time management, problem solving, professional presentation, and teamwork.

Students at Saracens Sixth Form are lucky enough to spend time learning from employers in a breadth of industries. Charities and businesses hosting our hard working students include: Quinn London; Jewish Care; Ashford Place; Saracens Bell Lane Children’s Centre; 21K Digital Media Hub; RAF Museum; All Aboard charity shops; The Loop; Canada Villa Youth Centre; and Grace House Residential Care Home.

It’s not just our students who benefit from these placements. Workforces are invigorated by young adults with innovative ideas and employers are given early access to potential future employees.

We are always looking for more opportunities for our students. If you’d like to find out more about partnering with us please contact Mr Olufola: f.olufola@saracenshigh.org
