100 Key Facts Quiz

Each term this year, pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 have participated in a 100 Key Facts quiz. The focus is to find out just how well they have learnt key words in all of their subjects that will help them to be successful in lessons. Each afternoon in Learning Group, pupils participate in an activity called Look, Cover, Write, Check where they learn and remember these key words from their knowledge organisers.

It has been exciting seeing pupils’ engagement in Look, Cover, Write, Check and subsequent success in remembering key words. Teachers are using the data from these quizzes each term to adjust their teaching and challenge pupils to remember even more!

We have also held follow-up challenges to celebrate the top scoring pupils, as house teams compete against one another in a game show format, cheered on by the rest of the year group. As well as house points the winning teams have also received individual prizes.
