Year 7 Ride The London Eye
For their summer Making Memories visit, Year 7 headed to London’s iconic Southbank to visit the London Eye and the Aquarium.
As a new arrival to the country, not just to Saracens High School, Ferguson experienced his first ever journey on the London Underground.
Our smart uniform and appearance earned many approving nods from the crowd around us – you could hear “Saracens…” being whispered in conversation as we walked by. It also earned us the privilege of being the only group on the trip fast-tracked through the queue – well done Mr Hunt!
Once in the pod, pupils took in the sights – many spotting Big Ben and the Wembley Arch in the distance.
From the pod we made our way to have lunch and a run around in the picturesque Jubilee Gardens.
After refreshing ourselves we made our way to the London Aquarium.
The children were impressed with the jellyfish display – a few shared their personal experiences of narrowly avoiding being stung by a jellyfish on holiday!
We made our way back to the station – many tired and reflective after taking in the beauty of the Southbank and the summer sunshine!
