Sports Round-Up
We have had some brilliant successes in PE this term.
Our boys and girls rugby teams have made wonderful progress. The majority of pupils in our Year 7 teams have played their first ever matches, inspired after watching Saracens play at StoneX Stadium.
Our boys’ football teams have played superbly, showing hard work and discipline in training and matches and there have been some exceptional goals and results.
Our girls’ football teams have also impressed this term. The highlight was our Year 8 and 9 team coming out on top against 11 other schools in a tournament. As well as winning the tournament, where Kawtar was awarded Player of the Tournament, the girls also got to meet some Arsenal players!
In basketball we have seen victories in most matches. The players have exemplified our value of hard work, particularly in close games such as the Year 10’s 28-24 win.
Our netballers celebrated three consecutive wins. Special mention goes to our Year 7 netball team who won their first netball match 15–4; what a fantastic result from a brand new team. Some sixth formers have been supporting our netball club and have been a great help.
We look forward to more hard work and more success in the new year.
