Shawbrook Bank

Students from Saracens Sixth Form spent a day at Shawbrook Bank’s head office in the City of London. 

Alongside students from a handful of other schools and colleges, our young people heard from Chief Compliance Officer Paul Asare-Archer about his career and the challenges he faced. The students were then matched with current apprentices from a range of departments and had the opportunity to learn about their experiences as trainees in the banking sector.

Students were tasked with workshopping ideas for redesigning Shawbrook’s online customer platforms before the day was rounded off with a tour of the bank’s facilities.   

Two of our Pre-Apprenticeship students are at Shawbrook Bank for their work experience placements. Other Saracens Sixth Form students now have the opportunity to be fast-tracked in the bank’s apprenticeship selection process later next year.
