Saracens Schools Takeover Match at StoneX Stadium
Saracens Rugby Club gave hundreds of free rugby tickets to us and Saracens Bell Lane so that we could raise the profile of our schools among Sarries supporters at the Saracens Schools Takeover Match.
It was wonderful seeing so many pupils, staff, governors, trustees and families at the match against Ealing Trailfinders on 1st February.
Mr Kahin and some of our hard working sixth formers manned the schools pop-up stall and had many interesting conversations with fans about our school. Two of our student leadership spoke with honesty and humility during Q&As in the hospitality lounges, chaired by Ms Green.
A number of our pupils joined the guard of honour with children from Saracens Bell Lane, waving flags to welcome the players to the pitch before the game began.
Two of our pupils enjoyed the unique experience of reading out the team sheets over the mic in the media studio. Noah in Year 8 and Sebastian in Year 9 did an incredible job and even took an impromptu video interview in their stride.
Thank you to everyone who came and also to those who donated a toy for the Saracens Bell Lane Children’s Centre’s toy library. If you would still like to donate toys suitable for babies and toddlers that are in excellent, working condition, please bring them to the main reception at Saracens High School.
