London Ambulance

Year 8 spent a day with London Ambulance learning vital life saving skills.

Pupils worked in small groups, benefitting from the close supervision of one trained paramedic per six pupils as they learnt DR ABC, CPR and how to use a defibrillator.

This session builds on the personal safety lessons pupils learnt with Street Doctors in Year 7. Later this term the children will complete a unit on first aid where they will learn how to deal with issues such as choking, bleeding, burns and choking.
