Year 7 continue to settle brilliantly into Saracens High School. Thank you to parents and carers for your help in getting your children to school and in establishing good routines at home.
Just a couple of reminders from the Year 7 team:
Please encourage your child to try out some of the extra curricular clubs that run at lunchtimes and after school. You can see the incredible array of options here.
Please remind your child that we don’t allow unhealthy snack in school such as crisps or chocolate. Healthy, nut-free snacks are permitted.

From all of us in your Saracens family, we want to wish you luck as you begin the next chapter of your journey this week.

In this next stage of your life you are going to experience many opportunities and some challenges. Remember that you will always be a part of the Saracens family – please share the successes with us, and if you need any help, we will be here for you, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Additionally, if you are available to come and share your incredible stories of success at the sixth form open evening on Wednesday 1st October 5-7pm, we would love to have you back. Please reply to this email if you are able to come and support – we’d love to see you.

Our amazing admin team have some friendly reminders for the start of term:
Please label all school uniform. If your child loses any items they should look at lost property (outside by the table football tables) and have a look around the building and outside areas.
Locker keys will be given out week commencing 15th September
If your child has a medical or dental appointment we require proof of those appointments via email (admin@saracenshigh.org). We are unable to accept phone calls for absences due to appointments.

We all know that exams are extremely challenging, not only because of what we have to learn, but also because they can affect our mental health. We’re told to take regular breaks, but some find it hard to know how best to use them.
Exam pressure is a rich topic for which there is plenty of advice. However, much of this advice focuses on study techniques to memorise exam topics. The reality is that much of the most vital revision is executed when one is not revising. Sometimes this aspect of revision can be more important than the active element.
