Action for Conservation is a UK charity. This is how they describe their mission:
‘We want to inspire today’s young people to a long-term belief in the wonder of the living world, which will shape their dreams and actions however their life turns out.’
This environmental charity runs residential summer camps for 12-16 year olds. They are free to attend but subject to a fairly rigorous application form.
Pupils from Saracens High have attended in the past and had a wonderful experience.
We’ve just received news that our attendance figures for the autumn term place us in the top 10% nationally of schools that are similar to us.
This is great news for our pupils as the data on attendance is cut and dry: the more days children are in school, the better they do. This is particularly true of GCSE results.
Let’s strive together towards even better attendance. Better attendance means better grades and better grades means more opportunities for our young people in the future.

Our Business and Economics A Level students were given application and interview skills training at financial services company CME.
CME employees showed students around the offices in Liverpool Street, offering stories of their own career journeys. The helpful guides emphasised determination, personal storytelling and charisma as keys to securing a first role.
Students were given the chance to consider which skills they already possess and how to demonstrate them.
The visit provided a valuable insight into the financial sector as well as giving our students contacts for the future.

On 8th February, after 5 weeks of working with the London Village Network, 19 Year 10s attended the end of programme event.
Partnering with The Hill Group construction company, the pupils took part in mini sessions to consider their futures and how to create personal statements that stood out. They took turns reading them out to improve their spoken communication skills with an audience.
It was a really useful visit and the pupils enjoyed the tasty lunch that was provided too!

Five pupils from our school not only competed in the Barnet Trampolining Competition but also brought back medals.
Emyla was our only Year 7 competitor at the event in Hendon. She executed her routine superbly and just narrowly missed out on a medal.
All of our entrants represented us fantastically, including Molli in Year 9 who was awarded bronze and Evangeline who finished first in the whole of the borough!

When Saracens Multi-Academy Trust came into being in 2017, we knew that the High School was going to open in September 2018, with Saracens Primary School opening two years later. Unfortunately, the Primary School was delayed by circumstances beyond our control, but it will open its doors in September 2026.
We are delighted that in the meantime, we are being joined in the Trust by Saracens Bell Lane, which (subject to the completion of a few legal matters) will join us formally in April of this year. Saracens Bell Lane is a primary school in Hendon, which currently has 444 pupils and operates a childcare centre and nursery as well as two forms of entry from Reception to Year 6.
This expansion offers wonderful opportunities for staff, pupils, and families of both schools and we look forward to working together over the coming months and years. We hope that some of the Saracens Bell Lane families will be at the High School for our Iftar event on March 28, to which everyone is invited, regardless of faith.
Ties are now back in stock and available to buy on Arbor.
Please also note that pupils will finish school at 1.20 on the final day of the spring term, Thursday 28th March. We are planning to hold another Iftar event that afternoon/evening in light of how popular the event was last year. The Iftar event will begin at 4.30pm, more details to follow.
