Year 9 Making Memories Visit to Greenwich
In July Year 9 went on a Making Memories visit to Greenwich. They travelled by tube and by DLR, passing the Isle of Dogs and travelling through the financial district in Canary Wharf.
Pupils learnt about the tall ships used by companies such as the East India Company and saw the imposing Cutty Sark when they arrived in Greenwich.
In Greenwich the children enjoyed the vast expanse of the park, the view from the top and the timeless pleasure of rolling down the hill!
Pupils travelled back across London by boat, passing landmarks such as the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast.
The day was a wonderful opportunity to see another corner of our great city and to learn about its rich history.
