The London Library
By Vicky, Year 9
The London Library trip was so fun. We had a nice journey to the library in central London and found out a lot of interesting facts: like how the building got bombed during World War II; and how you can see through the floors because using less steel made the construction of the floors cheaper.
There are over 17 miles of books. We saw books about art, history and geography as well as recipe books. We also found a lot of old books from the 1700s that were written in Latin so we couldn’t understand them.
We got taken to a room that has moving shelves like in the movies – very cool! On the way back to the tube station we posed by statues of Harry potter and Mary Poppins.
The trip back on the train was really fun. I would definitely go again on this trip and with the two amazing teachers.
