D of E Silver

The Duke of Edinburgh Silver practice expedition to the Ashdown Forest was a fantastic success! The two teams demonstrated excellent camp craft, navigation and teamwork throughout the three day expedition.

Haroon, Adam and Sofia excelled in navigation, with Chloe improving daily at compass reading. Sami created superb meals, and Freddie and Leon were fantastic at keeping up morale. Jiya and Dhasel ensured the team were supported and fed and that all equipment was organised. Eman showcased her cooking and navigation skills to our assessor to complete her bronze award while simultaneously partaking in the silver practice expedition.

All year 10 pupils did amazingly well and are now working on improving their small stove cooking skills and bearings work ready for the assessed expedition to the New Forest in June.
