Central London Scavenger Hunt
Pupils in year 7 donned their detective hats this term for a day’s scavenger hunt around central London.
The children solved puzzles and followed clues to take them on a tour of some of London’s best known historic landmarks, from Tower Bridge to Southward Cathedral. We also enjoyed a well-earned lunch break in The Scoop, an ampitheatre on the South Bank.
We got to know one another better as we got to know more about our capital city. We were particularly thrilled to learn, upon our return to school, that Doctor Stevens had received the following email from a member of the public:
Dear Dr Stevens,
I was on a Thameslink train this morning with a group of Saracens High students, year 7 I think. I am prompted to write to you to commend them, their teachers today and also your school because they were so well behaved in the carriage. They were calm and quietly chatting amongst themselves and their teachers were vigilant but did not need to remind them of any behaviour expectation.
A pleasure to be on the train with them!
We regularly receive emails like these and they make us enormously proud of our pupils.
