Ski Trip to Italy
By Luna, Year 10
Over the Easter break, from April 4th to 11th, 40 pupils from Years 8 to 10 embarked on an unforgettable ski adventure to Santa Caterina, Italy.
Firstly we had an extremely enjoyable 24 hour coach ride as we sang non-stop and laughed continuously. We stayed at Hotel Trinité, just a 5 minute walk from the slopes. Each day, we spent four hours on the snow, honing our skiing skills under the guidance of friendly instructors, and enjoying the views and new skills we gained.
Evenings were just as memorable. After dinner, we gathered in the hotel’s main rooms for social activities, bonding over games and laughter. A nightly highlight was the awards ceremony, where the “Moose” (most improved skier) and “Clown” (funniest moment) were crowned. The winners proudly wore funky helmet covers the following day, adding humour to our skiing sessions. While the food was predominantly continental, we appreciated the variety and made the most of the culinary experience.
Beyond the skiing and structured activities, the trip helped us form deep connections among pupils and instructors. We shared stories, supported each other’s progress, and created inside jokes that still bring smiles to our faces. As the older years connected with the younger, we found ourselves creating new friendships with people we have never before crossed paths with.
This journey wasn’t just about the slopes; it was about building friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. If given the chance, I wholeheartedly recommend this trip—it’s an incredible opportunity to learn, laugh, and grow together in a breathtaking setting.
