Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award
We are incredibly proud of the Year 9 pupils who completed their Bronze DofE practice expedition in Cuffley. Spread across six teams, 40 pupils spent two days trekking and one night camping under the stars.
The journey was certainly a challenge! Their routes took them through dense woodland, across local golf courses, and over some very muddy fields. Despite the tired legs and heavy rucksacks, every pupil truly lived our school values. They showed incredible resilience and a quiet determination to reach the finish line, working together to navigate across rural Hertfordshire and keep spirits high.
From mastering the art of pitching tents to cooking their own meals on camping stoves, the weekend was a fantastic display of independence. This practice has prepared them well for their final assessment later this year. Well done to all involved for such a brilliant achievement!
