Congratulations to the following athletes from Year 7 for their fantastic results in recent athletics events: Jaden, Khaieem, Samuel, Arshia, Maha, Nikola and Grace.
We’re also really proud of Iris, Lily, Jamie, Latrell and Dereon from Years 9 and 10 for being selected to represent Barnet at the Middlesex Championships. Good luck to those athletes and we hope you enjoy the experience.
We’re so grateful to Saracens for the tickets they have given us to the Premiership final at Twickenham Stadium this Saturday. Lots of us will be there cheering on our team. Let’s go Sarries!
Saracens Women are having a great season so we hope they’ll make it to the Premier 15s final on Saturday 24th June!
Middlesex University came to lead lessons with Year 7 on ‘building a university’. The pupils worked in groups and used Lego to aid their learning!
Our school enjoys partnership with Middlesex University and we’re particularly excited about some students studying T Level Health in our sixth form this September. They will receive some of their teaching from Middlesex University teachers in the purpose-built health suites at StoneX Stadium.

Some Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils enjoyed a really special visit to the Home of Cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground, in central London.
The pupils watched top level cricket in the Specsavers County Championship match between Middlesex and Somerset. They also took part in some cricket activities such as a quick cricket match and a tour of Lord’s.

On Saturday 20 May, when the building was unoccupied, there was a fire in the main school kitchen. The fire alarms were triggered and the Fire Service was automatically called. They arrived swiftly and put out the fire, restricting the damage to the kitchen.
The Fire Service believe the most likely cause of the fire was a washing machine. We’re so thankful that no-one was harmed and that our fire systems were effective in preventing the fire spreading and causing further damage.
We’re grateful for the hard work of so many staff: first responders like Jakub our Lettings Supervisor; Suzana for cleaning the hall over the weekend; our Head Chef, Cristi, for planning a menu for this week at such short notice; Our Facilities Coordinator, Lee, and our ICT Network Manager, Stuart, for ensuring the safety of the building; staff who came in over the weekend; those who have been arriving early to prepare 1000 packed lunches each day; those working flat out to get the kitchen back in action as soon as possible…and many more! It has been great to see everyone working as a team.
Repairing and refitting the kitchen is our priority and we hope to be able to cook hot meals again soon after half term.
