Powerhouse Games
The Powerhouse Games at StoneX Stadium was an incredible celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and the power of sport to bring people together. Year 7 pupils from Saracens High had the privilege of taking part in this inspiring event, joining students from a range of SEN schools for a full day of fun, connection, and shared achievement.
Throughout the day, our pupils not only participated in a variety of inclusive sports but also acted as brilliant ambassadors for the Saracens High values. They demonstrated empathy, patience, and encouragement, ensuring that every participant felt supported and included. It was heartwarming to see the genuine friendships and teamwork that developed between children from different schools.
Activities included boccia, seated volleyball, blind football, walking rugby, and Kwik Cricket, all adapted to promote accessibility and collaboration. Our pupils approached every challenge with enthusiasm and positivity, cheering on others and celebrating each success, big or small.
The event showcased the importance of inclusivity in sport and gave students a valuable opportunity to learn about resilience, respect, and the joy of participation.
Here’s some of the feedback we received:
“I just want to say a big thank you for yesterday! The kids you brought were absolutely stellar – they were fantastic and brilliant with being mixed up and working with the SEN kids. A true testament to themselves of how mature they were in that situation. Thank you for facilitating and help brining a really special day to life.”
“They were just great! So naturally inclusive which is sometimes uncommon. I was really impressed by them and they should be really proud of themselves!”
