Geographers Visit The Lake District
The geography team took our A Level students to Keswick, a quaint town in England’s beautiful Lake District. Students analysed their ‘far place’ to support the upcoming A Level exams.
Despite the 3.5 hour train journey, students were in great spirits. Surrounded by the famous mountains and Derwent Water, students enjoyed a short walk round parts of the lake stopping for photos and skimming stones. They then collected their data including pedestrian surveys, healthy street surveys and questionnaires. No visit to Keswick is complete without a visit to The Pencil Museum so we ensured we squeezed this into our schedule too!
Staff and students alike had a great time and cannot wait to visit again soon!
