Safeguarding
All adults who come into contact with our pupils have a statutory duty of care to safeguard and promote their welfare.
Our staff are trained in accordance with the latest standards, which applies to all adults, including volunteers working in, or on behalf of, the school.
Safeguarding children goes much wider than simply protecting them from neglect and abuse. It is also about keeping them safe from accidents, crime, bullying and actively promoting their welfare in a healthy and safe environment.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Ms Green. Please don’t hesitate to contact Ms Green if you have a concern or you need help.

Operation Encompass
Saracens High School been given the opportunity to take part in a project that will run jointly between schools and the Metropolitan Police Service. This project is known as Operation Encompass. Operation Encompass is the notification to schools that a child (under 18) has been exposed to, or involved in, any domestic incident.
This will ordinarily be done by the start of the next school day. Operation Encompass will ensure that a specially trained member of the school staff, known as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), is informed. The DSL can then use the information that has been shared, in confidence, to ensure the wellbeing of the child.
We are also a ‘Schools Watch School’ and work closely with our Safer Schools Police Officer PC Dhunjar. Staff are on duty before and after school in the surrounding area to improve feelings of safety whilst are pupils are travelling home from school, and to help prevent anti social behaviour and crime.
