This has been a wonderful first half-term.
It started with the celebration of the exceptional exam outcomes for last year’s Year 11 cohort that put us in the top 9% in the country and has continued throughout the term. Our new staff have settled in quickly, lessons are inspiring, and attendance is excellent.
Our Sixth Form now has over 230 students, we have started our new T Level Business course, and our three pathways are thriving.
Our Year 8 attendance is currently in the top 1% of the country, with Year 11 and 13 close behind, in the top 5%. Overall, we are in the top 10%, and our challenge is to maintain this for the rest of the year.
The ‘Together We Create’ days were a wonderful celebration of the arts and how it benefits all of our lives. One pupil, new to the country a few months ago, told me that it ‘had been the best week of his life’, and that a school would never do anything like that in his home country. There aren’t too many schools that would do it in this country either.
I hope you have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, November 4.
