English
In English we aim for all pupils to become fluent, confident and effective communicators by developing their reading, writing and oracy skills.
Through a range of different texts and writing opportunities, pupils will become proficient at crafting their writing for a variety of contexts and audiences. They will be exposed to a wide range of literature across varied time periods, to enhance their understanding of the connection between context and literature. Pupils will be provided with culturally enriching opportunities to cultivate a love of reading and the ability to appreciate how developments in society are reflected in literature.
