Applications Are Open For Sixth Form 2025

We were thrilled to welcome so many guests to our Sixth Form Open Evening just before half term. Applications are now open to internal and external applicants. Click here to apply.

Pupils in Year 11 who are interested in finding out more about T Levels are invited to our T Level Open Evening on Wedneday 20th November.

Johnson House

Pupils in Johnson House had a productive few days with the Art department for Together We Create.

The protest art posters they produced were bold and impactful and we had a lot of fun at our mock protest at the end of the week where we showcased the placard designs.

Our trip into central London was a definite highlight, as pupils walked The Line, a public art walk along the river Thames. Taking the cable car over the Thames near Greenwich was spectacular, with clear skies and incredible views – a wonderful memory to cherish.

Alphonsi House

Together We Create week was musical for pupils in Alphonsi House! Activities they participated in included:

  • An African drumming workshop
  • A STOMP style lesson using basketballs to create rhythms
  • A trip to Camden to look at a range of music venues
  • Time to explore the theme of ‘music for protest,’ particularly protesting issues such as poverty and inequality

The children used everything they’d learnt during the week to write lyrics and beats and create their own music videos.

Message From The Principal

This has been a wonderful first half-term.
It started with the celebration of the exceptional exam outcomes for last year’s Year 11 cohort that put us in the top 9% in the country and has continued throughout the term. Our new staff have settled in quickly, lessons are inspiring, and attendance is excellent.
Our Sixth Form now has over 230 students, we have started our new T Level Business course, and our three pathways are thriving.
Our Year 8 attendance is currently in the top 1% of the country, with Year 11 and 13 close behind, in the top 5%. Overall, we are in the top 10%, and our challenge is to maintain this for the rest of the year.
The ‘Together We Create’ days were a wonderful celebration of the arts and how it benefits all of our lives. One pupil, new to the country a few months ago, told me that it ‘had been the best week of his life’, and that a school would never do anything like that in his home country. There aren’t too many schools that would do it in this country either.
I hope you have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, November 4.
